Re: Parting out 1976 c10 Silverado & Cleaning Up Sale

Hi

Are you parting out the suspension pieces?

Im looking for the two rectangle shims on the upper control arms.
They are flat one one side and curved on the other.

I can take a picture if it helps.

Im in Dunwoody.

Thanks
Allen

Hi Allen,

As far as the suspension goes, really just looking to sell the whole setup altogether - likely to someone looking to modernize an earlier truck, convert 6 lug to 5 lug, etc. Not going to be taking that apart and getting stuck junking most of the pieces after.

Thanks for the interest though.

I'll put you second in line on the dash pieces.

The wood insert on the steering wheel would need to be restored, it is faded with some wear to it. I can get you some better pictures, not sure how nice you're looking for?

What other interior and trim were you interested in?

* The original 73-76 doors aren't good from what I recall. When we bought this thing it came with 2 extra sets of doors beyond what's on the truck - a total of (2) sets 73-76 type and (1) set 77-up type. The original driver door to the truck is dented beyond repair. The other (3) 73-76 types have rust at the bottoms, and at least one had a speaker hole cut. If you were interested in some to weld/restore using patch panels on the bottoms, I'd give you a cheap deal on your choice of them - otherwise i expect to gut them for vent windows, handles, etc. The 77-87 look to have been power, but the PO appears to have removed a bunch of stuff from the driver side at the least. 77-up drivers has dents, passenger doesnt, and nether looked to have rust....

* the woodgrain dash stuff I'll try to get better pics and going over on. I know the dash bezel was cut at the radio by the PO, so its either a donor for the wood overlay, or for someone running a non-shaft radio at this point. I also believe the upper right corner had a crack in the black plastic behind the wood. I can try pulling some off, take pics of the defects, and if you're still interested try to set a price based on how it looks off the truck?

* the cab trim has faded paint, is the basic chevy logo, but didn't appear to have dents/dings when I looked it over on Sunday.

Yeah I guess take it off and we'll see what it looks like? If I don't take it, I'm sure someone else will?

I remove the inquires about the doors and rear trim.

My only interest is the wood grain dash bezel- depending its condition.

I re-read the ad and saw later bumper. Do you mean for an 81+? I'm looking for impact strips for a original 1978 bumper.

Does the tailgate band have dings/dents or major scratches?

I'll check it out better for you and try to get some better pictures. If memory serves, it was pretty nice. I also have another one around here that needs to be polished out and didn't have any dents/deep scratches, but, need to think where I stuck it.

Pictures of the speedometer cluster bezel. Note the cut out radio area, circled crack in the black plastic of upper right corner, small piece of the excess material on LH edge wore off, and a slight distortion upwards at one screwhole.

A/C bezel in dash, note a couple shallow dents in woodgrain, a bent edge by vent, and some scracked nest to emblem.

Emblem appears to be spoken for and is not included.

The one on the truck had issues to where I don't think it'd be much good. Here's pics of the black one. It looks to have no dents or scratches, but there is one spot where looking at the right angle it looks like there is a slight wave in it (maybe). Highlighted it with a red arrow in a picture.

Can I see a close up pic on the bumper guards chrome finish? I'm also looking for a body color round gas cap if you have one.

Chrome is notoriously hard to photograph. These are typical gm production quality for the era. There are usual bumps in the finish, rough area on the bottom facing parts of the guard near the ground underneath the chrome, the occaisional scratch or pit. They a nice deep color, haven't faded to silver, and probably would clean up with polish to be nicer. There is one larger defect I tried to zoom in on in the picture, runs inward in an arc about 1.5" long off the edge that you should be able to see.

Column isn't anything great... no tilt, missing ignition cylinder, knob on the end of the shift lever is gone.

Do you have the motor mount tower assemblies? (Frame brackets and engine brackets) if so I'm interested.

I would be interested in the front bumper (even with the small dents!) and the two impact strips as well. Let me know how much for the complete setup. Thank you.
