1969 K10 Cigarette Lighter Wiring

I'm in the middle of rewiring my '69 K10 and have hit a snag at the cigarette lighter. See image of back of cigarette lighter, which has two old wires headed to it (one to the center threaded post, the other to the offset component). The AAW harness just has one orange wire with a very different connector intended for the post style. Advice? I'm not relying on the old wiring or components being original as it was a mutt of a truck and the wires leading to the old cigarette lighter were multiple frayed wires daisy chained in series.

Don't know about the wires, but need to see the answer! A DIN radio? That hurts...

The new harness is correct. It (the positive wire) should connect to a pin-like center post. It looks like someone replaced the lighter socket. An original socket shouldn't require a ground wire (your second wire) since the socket grounds to the dash.

The other component appears to be a light socket

This is the correct connection for these modle trucks for the hot wire to the lighter.



The lighter looks like Bigdav160 said. A aftermarket light for it.
