BB Motor Mounts 1970
Hi-
when the 454 was installed in my 1970 C10, the motor mounts were 'modified' to make it work. A pretty sizable piece was cut from each one. It appears that it was done to fit the headers. A very thin piece remains. If i put new motor mounts, I may have to put new headers as well. Any advice as to the way to fix this correctly? Thanks Tim |

I would think that if you got a set of the '68-'71 BB motor mount brackets, they would clear the headers. As long as the headers are for the '67-'72 trucks.

The one in that pic is a small block bracket. The big block ones are different, they have a indented area at the top to allow for the stock exhaust manifolds. Check out the '67-'72 classifieds on here, there are a couple sets for sale over there. If the ones you listed from GMPD are the big block ones, then yes they will work. 396,402,427,454, they're all big blocks. Here is a pic of what you need.....
