55-59 4x4 Options

So I have a 56 3600 series (3/4 ton) 2wd step side truck.

I am planning a 4x4 conversion. I have ruled out NAPCO and frame swaps.

I will be using a 10 bolt front and 12 bolt rear from a 70s k10. Are there any 4 link or 3 link solutions for the front end? If not, I guess leaf springs it is. Which I dont mind, but I wanted to see if there was anything else out there.

I'm building my 56 with a front 3 link and triangulated 4 link rear but it's all custom I'm also using the stock frame that designed a boxing kit for for the strength

Thanks for the pics. I am going to read up on your build thread.

I have 3 Yamaha 4 strokes. Love snowmobiling up in Maine

low67chevy - I just read your build post. Very ambitious and admirable. Not sure if I am willing/able to take on a custom 3 link build for the front end. I know there are 4 link kits for the rear but I think I may just stick with leaf springs

Re: 55-59 4x4 Options

yah only take on what you can and are willing to do, custom fab work and other things are alot hard to do for sure, you could talk to skyjacker or bds or even superlift to see if they can get or make you a set of springs for your truck worth the shot

cheers

Nick
