Inline 6 Heat Riser

Does anyone know where I can get replacement parts for the heat riser in the exhaust manifold for an inline 6 250? Do any of you have used parts that are in restoration condition?

I am doing a frame-off and want to keep it 100% stock, and as expected, the heat riser is mucked up pretty good.

Thanks!

I went through that issue with the riser and from what I found out is that no one makes repair parts for the riser. I did however find a place that sold a complete new manifold with a new heat riser in in it. If you want I can look up my records and find the companies name. My engine was the 250. Have a good one eh!

That'd be great, I may go new if I can't find any good loaner units that are in decent shape.

Is it frozen and won't open all the way, or what? There are products that will loosen it up, if that is all that's wrong.

OK Bruce this is what I got. I ordered the manifold from a place up here called Ideal Supply. They seem to be connected with NAPA Auto Parts which I believe is USA based. A call to your nearest store might solve your problem. The part number I have is 4KB 101140 and is for the exhaust manifold and the heat riser. The cost Canadian was $225 so should be cheaper down under. You might be able to find one in the bone yard but they all have years on them and to go to all the work of putting a used one in and maybe shortly after have to take it back out I myself went for the new one It's been in for 4 1/2 years and no trouble. The choice is yours my friend. Good luck. Ron.

Re: Inline 6 Heat Riser

Thanks, after getting the manifold sand blasted, I confirmed it is cracked, so I need a new one anyway. Looks like the ATP 101140 is the way to go, thanks guys!

Re: Inline 6 Heat Riser

After much research, the only OEM replacement is by ATP, but nobody has the part in stock (including ATP).

Is there any chance someone has a L6 exhaust manifold in good condition available that is within a 3 hour drive?
