Guesstimate at 1/4 times?

Hey, I was wondering if y'all could take a guess at some quarter mile times. The truck is a '72 short step with a 350. The combo i'm thinking about is a built 2004r with 2400 stall converter, 4.10 gears, Detroit Truetrac, and 28" tires that will stick. The motor will be a stock compression 882 headed 350 with a performer or similar manifold, mild cam, hooker headers, a modified quadrajet, and 2.5" duals with an x-pipe. SO maybe 240hp? With 4.10 gears, 2400 stall, and the 200's lower first gear I think it should 60' alright, but not much else. Maybe mid 14's? Thanks

I'd say mid to lower 14's if its right. A buddy of mine has a very similar motor for sale that is a gm crate motor with several upgrades. It has very low miles but he is building a big block. Want to make a road trip to bama?

I'd agree,, 14's if it hooks. The deep 1st of a 200 isn't going to be the greatest thing for traction with the light rear weight of a pickup,,, but with sticky's I think 14's is doable. I don't know that I'd be so optimistic to say it will go 14's out of the box. I think your gonna have to work for it a little.

I have a very similiar setup except with 3.73 gears and a TH-350. You should run mid to low 14's with some sticky tires.
Best 1/4 ET @ mph: 14.34@93.59
Best 1/8 ET @ mph: 9.17@76.5
Best 60 ft: 2.09 on MT ET Street
Engine: 350
Transmission: TH-350

That's the truck I was thinking of. What do y'all think of stock compression and 882 heads with this cam. http://comp.com/Cam_Specs/CamDetails.aspx?csid=97&sb=0
It has advance ground in so I don't have to rev my stock bottom end too high plus it keeps a little dynamic compression. I would get the k-kit for the valve springs and all.

I am running the xe262 cam with a stock stamped 1.5 rocker. That cam grind looks pretty cool. I think it would run great.
