New guy

Hi guys and gals. I'm Bonbobob and I'm building a '57 with a Fatman Shockwave airbag frontend and a No Limit Shockwave airbag rear 4 link. I completely boxed the frame and made all new crossmembers. The rear end is a 9" narrowed Ford with 3:50 Traction-Loc gears and Currie axles. I have Wilwood 12" drilled and slotted rotors all around. I stepped the frame up and over the axle 3 1/2". I have front and rear sway bars. The engine with be a 454 with a TH 400 tranny. I made my own front engine mounts and used Jim Meyers Racing tranny mount. I removed the complete firewall and added a Direct Sheetmetal 4" recessed unit with matching toe boards and floor. The cowl had some rust which I fixed. The majority of the cab rust was fixed before I got it but I had the whole thing sandblasted and primed just to be sure that's when the cowl rust appeared. I bought Sanderson full length headers that are really for installing a big block in a 32 Ford but they are perfect for my set up. They are above the pan and tuck in nice and tight. I'm mounting my master cylinder and booster through the firewall but using an off-set shaft to get the hanging pedal where I want it. That way the master will be way over to the drivers side out of the way. That's all for today but I will try to add some attachments.

No that's not me. I'm from Connecticut and was only offered a job in Houston in '92, never lived there. I just picked Bondobob because I like the way it sounds.

I was actually referring to Starrs plain rd in Danbury Ct on the ridgefield line.
I lived in Bethel for 40+ years. just moved here in '93. welcome just the same.

Re: New guy

I like it.

If you go with disc in the back use the explorer kit ford puts out. it will bolt right on. $399 for a complete kit minus the hoses and cables which you can get at any parts store.

That an unusual air cleaner you have there. it that hi performance?

Yes, the air cleaner is vintage '57! Nobody noticed my small block intake?... I have 12" Wilwood drilled and slotted all around pricey but I figured what the heck do it right once.
