Storing an auto transmission

I got a good deal on a low mileage 4L60e transmission but I don't have time or all other parts at this point. What is the best way to store it? The fluid was drained. Will keeping it this way hurt the internal?
1967 C20, 350 with 3 on tree, 2/14 dual exhaust. 4 wheel disc brake; finally done
2005 Silverado 2500, 4x4 Duramax, 4" MBRP exhaust,
1972 Nova (new project)4 door, 6 banger with powerglide tranny.
