Angry replacing fuel injectors on 02 silverado

ok well now im down to this. i replaced the coolant sensor and all the spark plugs and wires to it. now i still have a miss fire on cylinder one which is the fuel injector. i already bought the injector and am ready to switch it out. i have a V6 engine and it seems that the injectors are underneath a plastic case. i dont see no outside fuel rails. how hard are these to switch out,. i just need to replace one only., any help or advice will be great .

I would suppose that googling " '02 Silverado Radio reset" or something of that nature would get the info you are looking for. I know on my 2000 Malibu, that's how I figured out how to reset the stereo.

Question-- How did you find out which injector was faulty?
I'm having a problem with my '00 that might be a bad injector.
I don't want to replace all to find bad one.

Re: replacing fuel injectors on 02 silverado

Well i got a friend that owns a shop so he just hooked up a diagnostic scanner to it and it told me exactly which one it was. Actually it had two bad injectors.. he told me to put some B-12 injector cleaner and some 104 fuel treatment in the gas tank. you can find this at autozone or oreily autoparts stores. .. i put both on a quarter of a empty tank and it clean only one. Good luck.. Its not that hard to do . it was my first time and it was ok ..

If you have it, check your owners manual for the CD player. When the batt is disconnected the radio will need a securty code to start working again. If you don't know the code, take it to the dealer. The last time I had to deal with this, the guy in the parts dept came out and did it for free.

That's the ticket. There must be a code stored in it and the dealer is the only way to get it unlocked. Make sure to tell them to completely remove the code, not just unlock it, or it will happen again the next time the battery is disconnected.

Re: replacing fuel injectors on 02 silverado

easy way tell which injector is not fire would be to . 1 pull a plug wire off one at a time until u get the the cylinder that it doesn't make a difference in how it runs or do the same thing with the injector wires. or if you have a miss have the codes pulled
