Stepside with 10in wide wheels in the rear

Ran into a little issue, Truck is hitting the inside of the tires now when we sat the bed back on to the frame. Im thinking some 1/4in spacers in the back to push the wheel out just a little. Thoughts? Any other fixes? Truck is a 68

To clarify, Not the outside of the bed, where the fender lip is, but the inside of the bed is where its rubbing. Thanks

A spacer will probably fix the problem going down the road it's done all the time.

The next problem will appear at curbs, approaches and high speed corners that twist the frame and body.

8 or 9 inch rims will fit better.

Original rear axle in your truck? I have 275 55 17 on 17x9 with 5” back space (zero offset) on my ‘69 short step, but to make that combo work I run a wider 71-72 5 lug rear axle. You could source a ‘70 axle if you wanted to keep 6 lug, it’s the same width as the 71-72.

Then match your rim size to the front's. Is the rear tire size different?
Running the same combo all around has a lot of advantages.
While it's mandatory on a 4X4, it's just plain handy on a two wheel drive.

Went with a little wider rear wheel and tire combo... Have had the wheels since May, so I doubt I can send them back now. I think I can make it work with the spacers... I hope. If not I guess I will have to eat the cost and order a couple of new wheels
