Redhead Steering Gears

I am in the process of installing a manual steering gear from Redhead. Being aware that the power units will require fluid and bleeding, I wonder if they ship the manual gears with fluid in them already.

I imagine that opening the gear box may affect the warranty

Re: Redhead Steering Gears

I would think filling the gearbox would be part of the rebuild process for a manual box. Contact them tomorrow.

Re: Redhead Steering Gears

Thank you Smitty, I will contact them tomorrow. It didn't occur to me to ask until I had it bolted in with thread locker. But I did fill my old one through the top so I don't see this as being different. I'm just concerned about warranty.

Re: Redhead Steering Gears

Well, I installed the Redhead and wow, what a difference. I never knew just how much I liked being able to control my vehicle, until I couldn't. It's little things like steering and brakes that make life enjoyable. Lol!
