Started fabricating my gauge cluster today. Going to install two 5" Autometer gauges. What do you guys think?

Re: Custom gauge cluster

I was also just about to say it looked like a pair of shades. Looks like nice fab work. I'm curious to see this mocked up.

Re: Custom gauge cluster

I saw this on another post. I'm trying to figure out how it's going to go? Only 2 5" gauges and that's it? Can you give a little more insight? It certainly looks different. Just trying to visualize the end result. I am making my own too. 5" autometer tach and speedo with 4 autometer 2 5/8th gauges.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I'll post more pics when gauges are installed. These are the gauges I'll be installing.

Installed my Dakota Digital gauges today to see what it will look like. What do you guys think? I'm not sure what to do in between the gauges.

Re: Custom gauge cluster

Although I am not a huge fan of custom dashes, I have always admired great fabrication skills and it is looking very nice. I have to ask if the "cluster" itself will be removable from the dash when finished or all wiring and work done from behind the dash?

Keep up the good work.
Tom

It won't be removable. It will be welded for a smooth finish. A good thing about these gauges is that they have a single cat5 plug for an easy connection then from there it goes to a control module that can be located anywhere.

That's what I was thinking about but these gauges have everything you can name built in to it. I was thinking maybe some cool pin striping or emblem.

Re: Custom gauge cluster

So you went with different gauges. You do nice fab work. Right now it kind of reminds me off Wall E. Maybe some sort of cool Park Reverse 1 2 3 type gauge in the middle?

Thank you. Yeah it does look like Wall E. The gauges have an option to have the gear indicators built in.
