What did you use for that sweet gauge setup? Back plate, paint, etc?

Re: my 64 build now with a dropmember

Custom63,

the guage set up is mooneye gauges installed in the guage cluster kit i got from www.fastlanewest.com they advertise in Goodguys Magazine.

Ive made a lilttle more progress on the truck. got the tow boards and tunnel tacked into place, got a vintage looking reproduce underdash air conditioning / heater unit, installed a new core support and set the hood on the truck. next step in to get the hood hinges & bed mounted so we can tear this ting down for paint and body work. Here are a few pictures.

Re: my 64 build now with a dropmember

I will do the paint myself at the house. right now all we are going to do is get the chassis and entire engine compartment and interior painted and then get it driving then worry about the exterior later on this year.

Re: my 64 build now with a dropmember

well the truck is getting a little closer. got my hood hinge mounting kit from Porterbuilt and got te hood opening with hinges now All I need to do now is make the 1-1/2" round tube brace bars that go from the firewall hinge mount to the core support. If you look at some of the pics you can see the areas of the lower hingle bar that I had to trim so it would lay out. it touches the tire when layed out but works great.

Looks good. I'm curious about the tire size your running. What size are they? I'm thinking about getting some of Nate's hood hinge brackets...

I'm not sure onthe tire size as they are some only take offs that I have, but they are 27" tall the same as a 255/30-20.
