Ignition switch connector

I had a no start problem with my LS C10 70. It was suggested by this site that the switch might be the culprit by not turning on ignition when cranking.

I had to drill out the tumbler since it wouldn't turn left. Installed new switch and tumbler. When connecting the connector to switch, I sprayed electrical cleaner into the connector and made sure the 'tabs' got into the slots on the switch.

Everything has been goodness until 2 days ago when there was another no start. I pushed the connector onto the switch under the dash and it started.

I don't know how the individual wires are fixed in the connector. Is their someway to tighten how they hold onto the switch tabs?

Thanks

Re: Ignition switch connector

There is a repair pigtail available for that. It is a common problem. It should be available at any parts store. If your plastic plug is good you can put a new terminal on the wire causing the problem.
