wing window lock -loose ??

my 83 c-30 wing window lever lock is loose !{ looked in files} -could not find any repair ideas ?? anybody know what i can do to tighten up the lever ?how does it come apart ? does it just twist & lock or ? i have not tried anything! will i need to replace something -shims ? or take window out & send to one of the window wing- "rebuilders " on this site ?? the rubber and fuzzies look nice ! when i bought truck the guy had a matchbook under lever to keep window tight and wind noise down !

I had this too. It's the wavy washer that is broke. You will have to remove the whole latch to repair, so you might as well put new latches on.

It could be that the base is clocked incorrectly. Open the vent window and turn the latch and see if it locks in the wrong position. If it does, you can drive the pin out as mentioned, then loosen the base and clock it correctly. Here's an exploded view of how they assemble together.

I did the complete set too, but it was the wavy washer that was broke and making the latch loose. If your going to all the trouble, you might as well put new ones on, like I posted earlier. Here's a pic.
