Cab mounts, Help please...

I move my cab from my 2wd to my 4wd frame today and got it all mounted up, the problem is my cab is sitting on my distributor and fenders are not wanting to line up very well, i bought the aftermarket energy suspension cab mounts and installed them the way they told me to but still having problems....

Re: Cab mounts, Help please...

There is a forward and rearward mount for the engine cross member, which if i'm not mistaken is also the reason some cabs have a high hump and some and some have the low hump floor over the transmission.

My K20 has the cross member in the rear position, there is not enough room for a large body distributor so when i converted to electronic i went with a Mallory unit that is about the same diameter as a stock distributor.

Re: Cab mounts, Help please...

Also, the cab mounts for 2wd and 4wd are different the 4wd has much larger mounts in the rear, the cabs should be the same. So if the mounts came off the 2wd you need new ones.
