Front and Rear diffs on 86 K20

I am looking do do some work to the front and rear diffs and i was looking at them to try to figure out what the are. The front one had GM11 14030376 and it is a 10 bolt. The rear one has N6969 9GM 14 bolt. Does anyone know what this means on them or what they are?

The front will have 28 spline inner shafts and 30 spline outer. Not too bad of a diff if left alone for light wheeling and a tire not larger than a 33. The rear, don't know those numbers. Does it have a full floating axle assy or a semi float?

Re: Front and Rear diffs on 86 K20

Looking at the diff cover i believe it is a semi floating. For the front diff i was wanting to replace the rotors, bearings, locking hubs and change the fluid. I was not going to make any mods to it. The rear diff complete break job, bearings and fluid change no mods. I was looking on line and there seams to be so many different diffs for these trucks. I am trying to figure out which ones i have to be able to order parts. The lock out hubs i have been seeing say for 19 spline. I havent seen any for a 30 spline. I am currently running 285/75/16 tire with a new 2 inch lift springs all the way around. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you take any pics? I don't know why, but I thought the Dana 44 continued in the front for K20 models.

Full floating rear will have axles held in with bolts outside the wheel.

I went online to WARN to see what they offered for lockout hubs and the only one they show for my truc is a 20990 and it says its for a 19 spline.

My bad, yeah, you're right, I work on so much dana 60 front stuff..............

The rear, if it a full floater will have the hubs sticking thru the rims, and a semi float will not........also the 14 bolt full float will have 6 bolts holding the pinion in the front of the diff
