Need to fuze hei?
Converting to hei dist. Wiring to unfuzed spot on panel. Do i need an inline fuze ? If so, what size? Thanks.

The normal place it is powered from on the firewall connector is unfused. So, you do not need to fuse it. You can fuse it if you like and it won't hurt anything. A 5 to 10 amp fuse will be plenty.

I don't think the factory ever fused the HEI but it is thought that the voltage surges possible with the external regulator could lead to failure of the module in the distributor.
