i think it's from a 94 4door s10 blazer. it's too big to fit in a regular cab right without a lot of work. so i sold it to a friend of mine and i'm gonna get one out of a tahoe since theyre flatter and shorter.

Yeah the middle amp is over the ports, got about an inch and a half between them, more than enough room for the air to move, and it keeps the amp cool lol.
No new subs yet, they're comin this spring/summer along with all new front stage, processing, and possible headunit.

Thanks, yeah Morimoto mini's.

They got in a bind as I was screwing them in (don't quite fit in the headlight buckets, had to cut 'em, guess I didn't cut 'em enough?) and apparently it was too much of a bind. I'm gonna buy some cheap housings with plastic lenses and swap the lenses out, plastic is better with a projector anyway from what I read.

Don't think I'll be getting rid of the 9887, I like it too much.

Expect new subs, 2 alternators, another battery or 2, and a possible in truck Mac Mini build coming this summer.

Planned to get a lot accomplished on the truck today, instead all I did was tighten some wire connections, find out my camaro tach is a v6 tach, and hang out with the girlfriend some.

I had a 9885 which is basically identical. I have been wanting one bad since I had to let mine go. Girlfriends slow things down, unless she is a "dont mind getting my nails dirty" kind of girl, then they're alot of help.

And I don't mind her slowin' things down some, it's always good to spend some time with her. But she is a "don't mind getting my nails dirty" kinda girl. She even washes my truck :P

Reconed both subs because I blew 'em up, yeah by myself. Wasn't that hard, just takes patience.

Haven't touched the headlights since I put the projectors in, still need to replace the glass front lens with plastic. I just hate these headlight buckets so I don't want to touch them.

pulled a 2nd run of 1/0 from the battery to the distribution block this week, hooked up my capacitor, tightened some grounds and added lock washers. Voltage is only dropping to 13.4 now. Big improvement. Oh I also have 2 alternators now, will add some pictures this weekend.

Well it's been a while since I updated. But it's time to sell my truck. It's just getting to expensive to daily drive. One day I plan to buy another square body as a platform to build on. There's tons of these out there, I'll have another one day, which will possibly become a crew cab short bed.

Basically had to take the lens off the housing, then I took the projector apart and took the lens off of it, stuck it on the inside of the housing, drilled the 4 holes for the mounting screws, bought longer screws, then put the back of the projector on the back of the housing, etc. Sealed it all up with a bunch of peel'n'seal. Haven't had a problem, they still work.

edit: also had to modify the reflector inside the housing, it was removable in these, since they had an odd little hidden parklight bulb.
