Biggest chainsaw project yet now finished
Just finished this Homelite 990 gear drive. Fully rebuilt and restored. Ready to run with a 56 inch bar and nos oregon 1/2 pitch chain. Heavy beast! lol

I used that same engine as a go cart motor...Ran great but I never got to actually use the Go Cart as I never finished the build. Would have been a wild beast I am sure. Those engines are powerful.

That is a big one .. My dad had some old saws
McCulloch Mac 250 and Homelites ,, not sure but bigger than mine ,as he was a logger in Oregon .. He said McCullochs back then vibrated apart easier that Homlite in the 50ies and 60ies My two saws were both Homelite Super XL's they were 5-20 ies 5 Hp and 20 lbs But TJ ,, your saw is much bigger.. 2 man saw ,, nice refurbashing too.
