Re: Are these 88-98 Fenderwells ??

At first thought I wasn't sure. It just so happens I removed the inner fenders on my '97 to make the exhaust manifold replacement easier; about half the blankety-blank studs are broken in the head. Fun!
Anyway...I went outside and looked at mine and I'm 99% sure those inner fenders probably fit pre-95 (88-95) trucks.
Can you answer my question? Does powder coating work well on these parts (thinking thin sheet metal)? If so I think I will take mine to get powder coated.

Thanks for the reply !

Yes, powder coating does work well on thin metal. It doesn't like "sharp" corners or edges. It prefer more of a blunt edge..If that makes sense.

My coater is my shop neighbor, so we use him all the time.

Priming is key....

Now, why would you say these fender are specifically 95 and below ?

Mounting hole locations ?

Re: Are these 88-98 Fenderwells ??

The '97 has a bracket that supports the ECM and the brake proportioning system on the driver's side. What that means is there are more holes for the support brackets which I didn't see on the inners you showed. That's why I think they are pre-95.

Thanks for the info !!

At least now I know what to tell people at the swap meet this weekend.

I'm sure they should sell.

Re: Are these 88-98 Fenderwells ??

I took a closer look at the pics. It looks like all the pics are pass. side inner fenders. I didn't see driver's side inner fenders...
