Nice truck with $28,000 bid now and 1 day left,

I would say the seller will be happy with the result of the sell.

Re: 1971 Chevrolet K10 on BaT

I like it. Makes me feel better about about this black on black original 72 swb 4x4 Cheyenne I’m building back to life. It gets costly
But I can’t wait to drive this summer

Re: 1971 Chevrolet K10 on BaT

That is nice. I can't believe what our trucks are going for these days. Haven't paid attention over the last few years, but it sure looks like they're up in value. Glad I found mine when I did!

Re: 1971 Chevrolet K10 on BaT

Man 28K for a truck with a leaky 205 and rust holes in the outer floor extensions??? It’s insane what these things are bringing. I too am glad I got my K trucks when I did.

I saw that on Facebook, I think - didn't realize it was you! I suspect a lot of board members are over there under different names (just like me).

I really like your truck. If I had lots of extra cash there'd be no need to BAT it...

I have no doubt it will. It appears BAT is the new place for serious buyers and or flippers- re sellers. I do like the extreme multitude of photos on the site, really very necessary for buying site unseen.

You know what I always get when I call someone out for being an ass? "This is Facebook", like that's an excuse. Must be some unwritten law that FB is the place come to be a jerk

I'm sad that my '72 GMC has to be my last one, after always owning at least one K/20 for 42 years. I always knew I wanted to always have one till I die. That's why I bought up N.O.S. so I could always keep them running. There was no aftermarket the first decade or so of owning them

Always thought having a K20 would be cool. Doubt I'll get the chance now, these prices are nuts. I'd rather give the K10 some attention, at this point I know exactly what I'm dealing with!

I sold my 1971 K1500 SWB on BaT last November. I still feel like a traitor, but it sold well.

Here’s a dirty little secret… the only real difference between a long bed K10 and a K20 is leaf springs, axles, and wheels/tires. Your K10 shares its frame and everything up from the frame save maybe the power brake booster with a K20, the rest of the important stuff needed to make it a K20 are all fairly easily to find and bolt on.

For some reason I thought the K20 had a beefier frame - thicker metal or boxed or something! That's good to know, thanks for correcting me. Not real worried about the axles for my purposes and I'll be replacing suspension soon anyway.
