Re: The Toybox

Storm was as close to a complete dud as they get. It dumped just enough to get a couple inches in the grass and stuff, but nothing really on the roads. Sorry Adam, I know you like it when it piles on the roads. Well, I think I should have time to try and swap my bumper tomorrow. Depends on if I can get the step bumper off without a good air compressor. (I have to cut through a couple welds) Oh, I need to find some more mounting bolts too. Hopefully I will have a nice update tomorrow.

*Side note: Sarah's (my wife) interview went well. Didn't last too long, but she felt it went well, so that is awesome.

Re: The Toybox

That made her laugh. Good times there. That was dang funny on her birthday. (For those of you who are confused, I had Dennis text her "Happy Birthday". She was freakin out. "Who is this?" She starts asking me if I know the phone number. Man it was funny. )
And, trust me...I am gonna try to get the bumper on and tucked tight.

Re: The Toybox

UPDATE
Installed my early model sport bumper today. Much much better. Took me freaking forever to get the step bumper off but I did it. Here is "before", "during", & "after". Thanks again Adam! Although I wish I could run the old green plate. It looks so much better on there.

Yeah they do. I was really surprised when I took mine off. I expected it to be a lot lighter than it was.

Re: The Toybox

They really are heavy, Especially when you go straight from that to the sport. Big weight difference! Thanks for the comments guys! I am very happy with it.
Adam, I was gonna cut the green car up to body drop it but that idea got squashed real quick.

my girlfriend is "pointless idea" friendly, she would help body drop the green car, I vote you restate your case and not give up on it . one method I found that works is to ask for approval so many time's they get tired of hear'n bout it and give in !
oh ya, the truck is look'n good too !

Re: The Toybox

Well, I drove the truck about 70 miles to Adam's house, only used half a tank! 8.75 MPG
It will be there for the week so he can do the stereo, and whatever else he deems necessary. Hopefully we will all get an update or 2 (or 3) through the week.

I'm going to try and get the dash cut and pick up amp wiring today if I have time. I'll get you some pictures of the cd player installed when I get that done.

I broke a front u-joint in my red plow truck this weekend and need to make sure I can get that up and running before I can do too much goofing around

Re: The Toybox

Hey Gerald I got the dash cut and deck installed today but that's about all. I did take some picutures of the radio installed but apparently my phone didnt like them because they got erased somehow. I did mange to save one picture that I took with your truck next to a couple of other square bodies.

I'll get some more pictures of the rest of the install after the 12" of expected snow melts off.

Oh, and I learned that occasionally your truck will backfire causing me scream like an 8 year old girl.

Sorry, I forgot to warn you about that. Now you know why I need to take care of the motor stuff. But it is kind of funny to do it to people when you go past them. But it makes me mess myself every time.

Thanks again man! Is it just me or are my truck and your Burb the same height? Looks like the snow is really going to hit like they were predicting. So, have fun & be careful out in the plow.
