Where can I buy quality jack & stands?

I have a 1984 1 ton GMC and I need a quality hydraulic jack and 2 jack stands for a reasonable price. Regarding the jack stands is 3 ton enough or should I go with 6 ton? I was going to buy the jacks stands from my local Pep Boys but i figured i should get something of quality when it comes to jacks.

I also need low profile ramps for my sports car. Griots sells some nice steel ones with extensions but they are a little expensive. Any suggestions on where i can purchase low profile ramps? I didnt like the ones at Pep Boys- they were made of a plastic/rubber like material. I would rather trust steel ones.

Thanks

ive always bought my jacks from harbor freight.some dont like but ive had my current one for bout 10 years.store them with the handle down and the seals will last longer or just use the heck out it.also with the ramps the plastic ones is the only ones i like cause they dont sink in the ground, ive had my dually on them.

Got a harbor freight floor jack recently and its been good. Grabbed it because the craftsmen crapped out. 3 ton stands are fine.

I have a (I believe 3 ton) jack I've used for 6 years now that I go from Costco. Was $60 for jack and 2 stands.

The plastic ramps are stiffer than the metal ones. My AZ plastic ramps hold up my Diesel F250 with ease. My old (old, not rusted) metal ramps warp as the truck climbs them.

hein warner. makes them for snapon, cheaper price. Use the 3 ton with 23" inches of lift, although i have some 2 or 2.5 tons that have 21" of lift. nicest jack ive ever used was a dark green colored blackhawk 2.5 ton from sears my dad bought Waaaaay back. jack stands i like walkers, but you cant buy the good styles anymore.

Another vote for harbor! the stands are awesome. I got the 3 ton jack, its "okay", you just know it could be better. mine rides on 3 wheels, and it can fall fast till you get the feel for it. But sure as heck cant beat the $70 bill for it.

Re: Where can I buy quality jack & stands?

I bought the 6 tons because they can raise the vehicle higher than the 3 ton stands
