I unfortunately don't have any pics from then.. I do have these old pics of two of my other c10s. The amber one got totaled about 7 1/2 years ago. The brown one in the background of the quad pics is what I got after and used the suspension from the Amber one. I still have the brown one, but am parting it/ trading the engine/ tranny for body work.

I fell in love with those wheels the second they came out. I was in college and took a loan to get them! Then my old truck got wrecked, so they sat in boxes. I knew I had to use them again!

Dude, your truck is so inspiring. If my life was in a more stable order, I would be going the route you did. SO good!

I made a bit of progress last night. I have been doing my research on the fuel cell setup and it led me to 73-87.com as always. I've been following the site for years now before the current site administrator has been running it. Its always been an awesome site. I decided to go with the Summit pro street fuel cell as he did. The only difference, was I wanted to re-use the spare tire holder bracket. Why? I don't know. Its an ugly bracket, but I had an idea and I rolled with it. All I used was a tape measure, a pair of pliers, my sawz-all and my trustee home depot 4" hand grinder, haha. I knew the bracket needed to be arranged so it would drop the front of fuel cell because of the bump up in the frame prior to the axle. So I measured and cut a few inches out of the C-channel bracket so it could be bolted flush. I then cut 2 notches, about an inch and a quarter wide on one side of the C-channel bracket where the straps will hold the cell. I bent the notches down and then cut the excess with my sawz-all. I then cleaned it up with my 4" grinder. Pretty easy, not the prettiest, but should work.

The location of the fuel cell hangs about 6" from the bottom of the frame, which puts me really close to where my truck will be laying out on the bags.

I got done parting my brown 79, so its time to start getting on this finally. Going to start raising the bed, shaving tail lights, shaving stake pockets, weld on the rollpan maybe next week.
I also got a balanced 355 from my buddy really really cheap. It will do for now, its not the engine I ultimately want. I'm going to be ordering a tremec 5 speed tranny within the next couple of months. It should give me time to get the body work complete.

Got my colors picked out. toyota light green (like the old chevy olive green) Going to do a white roof/ white front bumper.

My camera sucks, so they look awfully flat...

Hey man, have you thought about when you have the front aired up and the back down? Will that gas tank rub??

Other then that, your build looks great! your pretty much going down the same track as me, except I did a 3" z and just modified my lower control arms.

How about some pics of how you are going to route your front air lines out of the bag and spring pocket??

Got uppers on and finally got all the bags plumbed last night. No more balljoint binding.
Going to finish running brake lines and fuel lines this weekend.

I actually raised the tank. I was going to leave it low and adjust my bumpstops so it wouldnt drag, but my body man is going to raise the bed floor.

Great build! Looks like your going the same route I am. I have a KP components rear setup just like you. If you get a second, could you pleaseeeeeeeeeee do me a huge favor and measure your panhard rod, from the center of the poly bushing to the end of the bar? I lost my panhard bar when moving my truck and KP wants 100 bucks for a new one, so im gonna make my own.

OH man! You don't want to know my heart ache with KP and my panhard! I have the old style, which is supposed to bolt to the passenger side frame. Well.. They sent me a passenger side Axle bracket. SOOO.. I sent the bracket back to get the driver side.... They sent it back saying they didnt make it anymore and tried to quiet me by sending me a piece of plate steel that your supposed to weld the "new style" panhard bracket to. I now have to fab a bracket to the frame and ditch theirs. Those guys screwed me around for 2 months trying to get my air management stuff. I had the money and everything. The guy wouldnt return my emails.

I would for sure make your own. I'll measure it tonight with some pictures.

I've checked out your build. Its looking good! I wanted to Z my front as well, but I didnt cause I wanted to run my belltech sway bar. I will eventually get a dropmember and a larger c-notch later down the road. I am sick of projects right now, so I want to get this thing rolling soon.

Oh, so the panhard on the drivers side is their "old" style? I bought my kit probably 6-7 years ago lol. the AXLE bracket for the panhard rod is on the drivers side for my truck, so I guess ill be fabbing me up a bar lol.

Yeah.. They changed it because they have the bolt in monster notch. The old style bracket that I have (that I cant use) is supposed to bolt into the passenger side frame (the driver side has the old shock indent)

Hey. Sorry didn't get back to you sooner. They are stock shafts. The uppers are ugly older aim industries that I've had forever. The balljoint angle has helped. The stock arms almost binded. I'm trying to get mine sitting like your burb! Im gonna buy porterbuilt lowers and I'm waiting on a guy for another crossmember to take the 1.5 out of. Did you keep your sway bar? I have to modify those brackets as well I'm sure.

I finally got the roller outside to clean it and get motivated.

I also had to grind down the 3" DJM spindles where the caliper pins install. The outer brake pads were hung up and the calipers didnt want to slide on easily. There was a 1/8" tall section the size of a half dollar that I removed so they would not hang up.
