10,000 GVW on vin tag?

There's a 1969 longbed 3/4t 4x4 manual trans with a 454 at a auction with 10,000 GVW on the vin tag on the door jam. Don't think I've ever seen one. Anyone else seen something like this before? also has the DD below the vin. I've seen that before.

Re: 10,000 GVW on vin tag?

That does not look like a 72 vin tag. Also, if a 72 4x4 the vin would start with CK. A cab swap at minimum. Another tell tale is a big block was not available in a 4x4.
Looked it up, Vin is 1969 1 ton 2wd cab and chassis built in Fremont California

See you edited your post for year. I also edited mine with the correct truck ID per the vin. Cab and chassis was 2wd, came with no bed. No big block or 1 ton in 4x4. So cab, bed, chassis and motor are all from different vehicles. Maybe fenders and hood are original to cab? Short story, the truck was put together with a bunch of pieces. Did they do a good job?

1t cab swapped onto a K/20 chassis. Need to check if it's a 67-72 chassis or a 73-87
