can it be done?
Is it possible to put a stripped 72 cab in the bed of a 69 longbed? Also, what is the best way to replace upper control arm bushings on my 70 c-10? I did the bushings on a 68 about ten years ago and if I remember I just bought the bushing and it was pretty easy, the parts guys are saying I need the hole shaft assembly now is that right? Thanks for the help.

I just checked into them for my '70 C20. They come as a kit, bushings & shaft. If the bushings are shot, most likely the shaft is shot also. They don't cost very much.

The only place I found pieces/parts of the "kit" was at LMC. I bought the kit from Schucks because it was $5-$10 cheaper each side at $29.99.

You would be better off to replace the shafts as an assembly. I have gotten by replacing bushings.....but as a short term fix. Its a good sized job to tear the front down, much better to do it only 1 time.....69 longhorn.

Yes, it'll fit in any fleet side bed. If it is a cab in good shape, you'll need to fab a supprot to raise it a little, but if it is just an old cab, toss it in so the doghouse is straddling the wheel well.
