Wifes new Denali.

My wife finally decided not to buy the Infiniti QX56 after the idiots at two different Infiniti dealerships refused to deal on them. They aren't selling so they want to hit a homerun everytime they do sell on.

Instead she bought a Yukon Denali XL. It's Black with tan leather and loaded with every option available. I haven't had a chance to get pics, but it looks like this.

We upgraded the stock 20's to 22's. Here's the wheel we went with-

Re: Wifes new Denali.

The guys in the Photoshop forum gave us a sneak peek at what it would look like before we bought the wheels. Thanks to 75silverstep for the chop job...

Re: Wifes new Denali.

I added a little more bling to the front end. The stock tow hooks looked boring. I thought about taking them off but it would leave a hole in the front valance. I found a set of chrome ones direct from GM Performance Parts.

Here's a before pic....

Re: Wifes new Denali.

While I was looking for the tow hooks, I ran across another item on the GM Performance Parts site. They have a fresh air intake for the 6.2 so I decided to get one. This is supposed to improve performance AND fuel mileage. At least that's what I told my wife...

Here's the stock and boring air intake. It looks like a hi-tech paintball cannon once removed.

The new and improved version from GMPP looks much better. Here's what comes with the kit.

Re: Wifes new Denali.

The final product looks pretty good and should make a big improvement in fuel economy. I took for a test drive and it has a nice sound to it when you hammer the throttle..

Re: Wifes new Denali.

Congrats on the Denali. The older ones are fine rides, and the new ones are even better. I owned a C3 (2001 Denali truck) until about a year ago, and still miss it today.

Thats a clean looking intake. I'll have to see if they make one for the LS2 in the TrailBlazer SS.

Re: Wifes new Denali.

She has an 03 Denali that she loves. The 6.0 really makes that thing move, but nothing like the 6.2 in the new one. The intake will work on all 5.3, 6.0, and 6.2s. I don't know if it will fit in the Trailbalzer though. It's much more expensive than most aftermarket systems, but I figure that since it's a GMPP piece and CARB certified that they can't give me any hassle about warranty.

Re: Wifes new Denali.

Very nice! My wife loves her new tahoe. What did you pay for the intake? May have to look into one of those.

Congrats on the new Denali! You will love it! We had ours a little over a year but just sold it to become debt free. We already miss it. The 6.2 will run and it loves GAS!

Black is the only way to go!

It's expensive. I had a buddy buy it through his GM connections and it was 300.00 with his discount.

I paid the extra bucks so I wouldn't have any hassle if I take it in for warranty work.

Hmmm, thanks. We ordered our Tahoe with every available option except the intake and love it. I've considered putting a new intake on but didn't want to void the warranty, so I may just have to check into this. Thanks

Re: Wifes new Denali.

Yeah, it comes with a CARB approved sticker, and an order sheet so you can put the vehicle emission control stickers back as well. That might be over kill, but I don't want to hear any crap if I need to take it back to the dealer.

Almost, but for a lot less money. I do have half a set of Escalade mirrors for it. Still trying to catch a deal on the other side...
