Side Moldings 69 c10

Hi I am new to the forum just going to start a project but have a quick question, I bought a '69 c10 fleet side with both upper and lower side moldings on the truck I am trying to keep the original faded finish but would like to take the moldings off would this be possible?
I will try and post some pics.

Re: Side Moldings 69 c10

Two problems come to mind.

1/ The unfaded paint covered by the moldings will now show and sharply contrast.

2/ There are about 90 holes in the body as a result of having both the B85 upper bodyside (belt) and the BX2 lower bodyside moldings.

Might want to read some more here.
