72 GM Temp Guage Problem
The temperature guage is all the way to the right side of the guage? It had worked but is now on the hot side, Why? What should I look for?

Re: 72 GM Temp Guage Problem
It's either hot (jk)or the wire is shorted to ground (which includes bad sending unit) disconect the wire from the temp sender and see if it comes down if yes sender is bad if no wire is shorted to ground

Re: 72 GM Temp Guage Problem
When unplugged guage does not come down. Could the problem be right in the fuse box? I have put in new circuit board, resistors, guage, temp sender. I pulled the connector off of fuse box in engine compartment side and all looks well. Could it be in the inbetween part of the fuse box?

Re: 72 GM Temp Guage Problem
If you pulled the wire from the fuse box in the engine comparment side and the gauge went down the short is between there and the sending unit possibly on the exhaust or pinched
