I am going from the smaller small block radiator (307) to the larger small block radiator...what am I going to need as far as mounting equipment?

Re: Going up in radiator size...need help

You will need the lower and upper brackets and the rubber mounts that sit in the brackets and hold the radiator in place. On my 67 I had to bend the lip on the lower part of the core support to allow the lower mount room. The uppers and lower brackets and the rubbers are still available from GM as of March of this year. They are cheaper in junk yards and one of them is a common GM item in later years (lowers I if I remember correctly)

Any chance you have a part number handy?

Or another question....was the smaller radiator a 3 core and the larger a 4 core?

Re: Going up in radiator size...need help

The part number for the rubber mounts is in the picture. Sorry to say that last week I tossed the paper with the part numbers on it. The local Chevy dealer didn't have any problem coming up with the numbers. Which was surprising as they had to put much more work into finding a T400 speedometer seal. Which I would have thought would be easy. And I went from the stock non A/C 327 radiator to a 4 core copper replacement. It probably was a 3 core but I didn't look inside to verify. It was small, leaking, and previously repaired.
