94 dash replacement

I am trying to buy a 94 silverado and the dash part near the windshield is busted. Is there anyone that makes a replacement? I would need to take the old panel out because its in pieces , so a cover is out of the question.
Thanks

There might a cheaper option out there, just do some more searching on ebay.

Re: 94 dash replacement

I found a complete dash in a junkyard for my old Indy Pace truck and it is still in my shop .Sold the truck and my buddy who bought it is not yet ready to tackle the install of the replacement . They seem to be easier to find in a Tahoe but mine was from another truck .When you find one be very careful with it as they are thin and very brittle .

Re: 94 dash replacement

Dont get a dash out of a tahoe. The first year for the tahoe was 95, and the dash is completly different.

You could look in 92-94 K5 Blazer, 92-94 Yukon, and 92-94 Suburban, as well as the trucks.

Re: 94 dash replacement

Good luck to finding a dash that's in better shape than what you have now. I finally found one after looking 2 years. I am almost ready to install mine. I am going to be very carefully because although it looks nice it is from a 1991 truck and will be very brittle. I have seen a vendor on eBay selling used replacement dashes for $600. I gave $100 for mine and now wish I would have bought the complete bucket seat console interior from that truck for $300

Just to make sure you're on the same page as the rest of these guys, the dash is all one piece. You can't just replace the top panel.

Re: 94 dash replacement

The dash is one large piece. I removed the replacement dash in about 1 hour. I did try the glue on cover from LMC and it looked nice but the dash continues to crack and fall apart.

Re: 94 dash replacement

I had no idea how hard it was going to be to find a stock replacement dash in the same color that wasn’t completely cracked and ruined. I must have driven a few thousand miles running all over Texas to look at disappointing junk dash’s that were listed as “nice” on Craigslist.

I finally saw a small ad on Craigslist for a 91 blue truck that was being parted out. I asked the guy what condition the dash was in and he said good. Can you please send pictures I ask. He says no he doesn’t do fancy internet stuff like that and I will just have to take his word for it.

He says he will pull it out and be sure it doesn’t break or crack and call me when it is ready. He lives 3 hours away so it will be another 6 hour round trip to go look!

I call him each week for the next two months and he tells me he hasn’t had time to get to it. I am ready to give up on him and then he calls and says it is out and in one piece.

I ask how much and he asks if I have anything to trade. I ask what is he looking for? Says he needs an edelborck carb for a project he is working on and I happen to have one off a running engine I pulled out of a truck I am scrapping.

We agree to trade even up and I take the plunge on the 6 hour trip. I get there and he is no where to be found. No texting or answering the phone. I decide to eat lunch and try one more time. He answers and apologies that his phone died. We meet and load the dash in the back of my truck bed. I strap it down and pray I don’t damage it on the return ride home.

I get it home and unloaded with no issues and have to work up the courage to attempt to install it.

After a month I decide it won’t install itself so today is the day!

Here are the pics.

Re: 94 dash replacement
