Re: Project Roxy

Wish I had some progress to report, but between the holidays and overtime all this month I haven't been in the garage in over a month. Next month isn't looking good either. I'm hoping to be back on it by end of February.

Re: Project Roxy

Not sure how important the pinch weld/ toe/ floor board seam is? But I got impatient monkey around with all the rust in mine. Had to put a new floor pan in, so I just butt welded the floor pan to the toe board. I know it's not factory. But it seems that the rust occurs because of all the seam seal stuffed there.

Re: Project Roxy

Thanks for the compliment. Maybe air some day, but no a/c or heat in the immediate future.

Re: Project Roxy

I think I will be doing the same to my firewall, all these mods I'm planning are starting to add up. I originally was just doing a simple 4.5/6 inch drop.

Re: Project Roxy

Looking great man! Nice job on the rust repairs.

You know I put the flange on my floor pan using a hydraulic press brake at work, thinking I was pretty slick... well forming the whole flange at once pulled some of the contour out of the front where it goes down toward the kick panel so I had to cut and reshape that.
I really wish they made the floor pan with that flange on them.

Re: Project Roxy

Patchwork on the floor looks good, I had to repair mine in about the same exact way.

That flange/pinch weld is a PITA and it seems that every cab that I've had or looked at rotted out right there.

What motor mounts are you using and do you have pictures of how close your motor is to the firewall?
