Floor covering

So do you have a mat and wish you had carpet...visa-versa?
What you got and do you like it?
I'm kinda torn, the one ton has a mat. I think it is ugly, but all the trucks at work have them and I see how nice it is to clean.
My GMC had a cheap carpet and it blows...really POS carpeting. The old Longhorn had stock carpet in it and it was wonderfull...but I hated cleaning it all the time.
So whats the best?

My truck has some cheap old black carpet in, very soft, almost like fake fur upholstery fabric, complete with cigarette burns and wrinkles. One of the big jobs on my list for this year is to strip out the cab, fix any rust, paint the floor and re-carpet with a nice red original spec moulded carpet to match my red seat. I am hoping to bring back a carpet set as hand luggage from our holiday to the US in September if it's not to big and I can find a good supplier in the area we're going to. (calfornia/Nevada/Arizona) I have a set of nice rubber mats to put down when I've got dirty feet.

Im with you mule! No need to drag out the vacuum with a mat! And they are half the cost of carpet too.

Not only that, but I like the look.

Talking

We have trucks with carpet and rubber coverings. For daily driving and using the trucks like we do the rubber flooring just can't be beat.

Carpet works well for the show vehicles but cleaning rubber is real easy!
