Corvette filter/regulator

Does it make any difference where you mount the filter/regulator on the frame to keep the 58 lb. pressure at the rail? Just pick an easy to get to spot?

Re: Corvette filter/regulator

It doesn't make much difference although closer to the tank will use less hose for the return.

^ This.

I've personally mounted it right next to the engine on my jet-boat, and right at the tank on a G-body. Both worked well.

Re: Corvette filter/regulator

Also, I'd stick with a GM /ACDelco filter.

In the past with parts store brands, I've got two of them....TWO of them that have been bad out of the box. Also have a buddy that had the same problem.

Re: Corvette filter/regulator

Thanks for the advice. Would like to mount it on the crossmember behind the tank and then only have one line to the front, but didn't know if I would lose pressure over the longer distance. I have a Wix filter, but thanks for the info on some bad ones. That would be a quick change if you had problems.
