Re: Want to see 17"-18" steelies

I absolutely love the look of the deep steelies painted white with stocker caps. This look blows away any other steel or aluminum rim in my book for these trucks. True to the original styling, but very agressive. NICE.

Re: Want to see 17"-18" steelies

Did you get those custom made?

I am loving that look, but sorta want to keep my 8 lugs. I figure it would take a custom build.

With all those beauties in mind, I have no clue why rallys are so popular.

Nothing special, stock fronts and I had the rears widened to 10". Running a early narrow style rear end to get them "tucked" in the wheel well.......

Re: Want to see 17"-18" steelies

I have wondered about trying something like this.

This wheel was made into a bolt together two piece wheel while enlarging it from 13" to 15". They simply welded a flange to the center of the stock wheel and a flange to the center of a larger wheel hoop.

I am not interested in the two piece part of it, but wondered about just installed a single ring in mine to make a 15" rally into a 17" rally, fully welded with nothing bolted together.

Anybody have any thoughts on the structural aspects of doing this?
