Bolt kits, safety, general advice

Hi Guys,

I will be installing a 1972 disk brake front end onto a 1970 SWB. While we have the frame off and before reassembly, I want to make sure we "stay safe" and are prudent.

Q1: The truck had lots of of rusty bolts, and I do not want to put any back on! Any advice on bolt kits? Could I just head down to NAPA and grab some grade 8's? Is there a guide (FAQ) that shows the sizes for bolts used to hold the bed/cab/front clip on?

Q2: Is there a bolt kit available that holds the cross member and front-end onto the frame?

Q3: While we have everything off, are there some parts that we should automatically replace? I am thinking the bushings on the control arms and the brake line. Anything else?

I am asking these because I know that there are supporters of this site and I'd prefer to purchase from them. I also like recommendations, considering that this is new to me and my son.

Thanks a ton!

Barry
