Blazer tank fuel line question

My son & I just finished mounting his blazer tank. We are thinking 3/8" rubber fuel line inside the frame rails. I know steel line is best but has anyone had trouble with rubber line? MIke

I would use steel lines. Rubber will fail.

Rubber is only advisable for the short runs from metal line to metal adaptors. Rubber line will rot, crack, split, chafe and is otherwise susceptable to damage from road debris. If you spring a leak and a fine stream sprays on your hot exhaust, you may lose your truck and life. Why chance it? Fuel line is so cheep.

rubber fuel line???

Went to big swap meet yesterday--watched a real nice 70's 454 Suburban pass us on the way---in the parking lot of Tenn State Fair grounds--the burb looked like it lost a rad/heat hose as some smoke was coming out from under the hood--but the smoke changed from white to black!! The guy had the burb for sale with writing on the windshield---I called 911---the burb was gone in 5 minutes. Wasn't a radiator/heater hose leak. Care to bet that a "rubber fuel line" leaked??? Steal some steel and "get er done"-right!!
