Where to you all buy your parts?

I have seen parts for these trucks at lmc, classic parts, brothers, ECT. Are they all the same parts just different suppliers? Where do you shop?

I buy most of my parts at SOKY but I do shop around to other suppliers.

Re: Where to you all buy your parts?

I get most of my parts from a place in Jamestown, TN.
They go to a lot of the swap meets also.

Give him a call. It's a family business. He is real nice to do business with.
If he doesn't have them I go to SOKYClassics

Wes … at Classic Heartbeat.

He knows these trucks, repairs them and builds them up.

When I redid the Circuit Rider - 90% of the parts came from Wes.

Re: Where to you all buy your parts?

I've recently made many purchases with The Truck Shop out of California. All of the parts have been quite a bit less money and quality has been better than some of the companies mentioned above. If you're needing NOS or cant find good used GM then you are stuck with nearly all aftermarket so I say save a few quid where you can. Plus they have free shipping on orders over 300 bucks.

I just made an order with them.....the parts I ordered were even less expensive than what was posted.....haven't seen shipping cost yet, but so far so good.

Re: Where to you all buy your parts?

I’m fortunate to have a local shop, A Plus Rod and Custom, that stocks a lot of truck parts. If they don’t have it So KY Classics is my second choice. For odds and ends I’ve had good luck with LMC and Brothers.

Re: Where to you all buy your parts?

I buy my mechanical parts from my local CARQUEST store. Engine parts, tranny parts, switches, suspension, etc. For the things they can't get such as sheet metal, I call Wes at Classic Heartbeat. I have ordered from GMC Pauls and have been very happy with the price and turnaround time.

I avoid LMC. They won't get to me again.

Re: Where to you all buy your parts?

GMCPauls. Great customer service. Fast. And low cost shipping. My last order came USPS rather than UPS or Fedex. Saved me a lot. I placed an order at Brothers a while back and wound up canceling it. They wanted to charge me $55 for shipping and said it was a reduced rate. GMCPauls only charged me $18 to ship the same stuff! I ordered wed afternoon and it was here this morning (Monday).

Have you tried the local parts store for basics? Seriously.
