Post 68 front ball joints

Redoing the front suspension on my 68 C20 truck. No problem to press out the lower ball joints with my trusty ball joint press.Well ,the new ball joints just dont wanna press back in . I measured the new and old joints, the new ones are 25 thousand larger diameter. What gives? the replacementss are USA made McQuay Norris. 25 thousands is wat to much of a press fit in the rather thick control arm metal.

I used TRW balljoints and did not have any problems. You might compare them to another set and measure the diffrence.

In this area its hard to find ball joints for 68 3/4 tons except for the Mcquay Norris. brand. Its a 3 week wait minimum for TRW or Moog.I was told that from a few parts stores and online.Looks like I am gonna have to wait anyway.

Check to see if you got the oversize ball joints. TRW makes a set maybe some others do to. There made in both sizes becuse some holes are so worn that standard size ball joints just slip right in.
