Dana 60 disk brake conversion

I ordered the rear Dana 60 Disk brake conversion kit with E-brakes from Lugnutz for my 1969 C20 Suburban. In an email, he said that the E-brake cables I have will need to be replaced with a later model set from around 1986. My cables have the 2 bolts that bolt to the backing plate. Apparently I need a set that "clips On". Has anyone installed his kit and had to replace the E-brake cables and if so, what did you get to correct this? Id like to be able to just order the right stuff the first time (for a change ).
