When I turn either the left or right turn signal on, my hazards come on. Not sure why this is happening. This is on a 2001 Silverado. Any ideas why?

The turn signal switch is bad inside the column. This is a very common issue on the 99-06 trucks.

Turn signal switch replaced....but still having the same problem.
