drop spindles, big calipers, clearance

The project truck is a 96 2WD, 2door Tahoe. I want to use stock diameter rotors and upgraded calipers with a 15X 8 or 9" wide wheel. Can this be done by using a spindle with a 3" drop, (which is the maximum drop I know of) and the stock coil springs? The idea is to establish clearance for the calipers and create more backspacing to get the tires under the fenders. Who's got recommendations on spindles and calipers that will give me 4" or more backspacing without interfering with the inside of the wheel; thanks, norv.
