Re: Anyone put a Turbo 350 behind a TorsionBar 60 Chevy Pickup?

if you don't have side engine mounts now you will have to put them in as well as a rear cross-member...as for the height look where your drive shaft is now going through the X frame now and make sure it is still in the same place with the turbo350 when done

your half way there look at posts 15 through 18 above for the rear cross member they built ...you will need to remove the bell housing cross member you have now and build a rear one and make sure your shaft is in the same place as now.....after that gas, key ,start and gooooo!

Although mine is a 700r4 trans I just purchased a universal tube trans mount and cut, fabbed, and welded together and bolted on the side frame rails.. the universal tubed mounts all look the same but diff application for trans..

That brass colored transmission support there where the bellhousing mounts to block looks to be a good add on.
Does anyone know where one like it can be purchased?

maybe inliners international?, or speedway motors?

I would say it is purpose built to bolt modern 63 and up trans to the earlier 62 and down inline 6 with the single front mount. if you have a side mount v8 or 6 and went with a tailshaft mount auto trans this extra mount would not be needed.
