Cool Can't Beleive it !!!

My wife calls me from work right before I get on here to tell me she has something for me. I ask what, and she says a girl that works with her father has a 71 or 72 short bed step for sell. $2000.00 with suppose to have only 45000 orignal miles on it. I asked her why she was telling me this, and her reply was if you look at it and want it to get it. That's a first. I wouldn't have ever dreamed I hear those words coming from my wife. I'll keep the board posted, going to call him tonight. Keep our fingers crossed!

Called got his wife, she said I could have it for all she cares, but would have to talk to her husband and he wasn't home. Got to wait until tommorrow after 3 she said. He is a state trooper on nights, don't want to wake him up to early. Thats about what time I'll get up anyway also, 12 a night makes it hard to get up much earlier, but for a 71 I'd stay up all day.

My wife is the same way. If she sees a new 67-72 in town, she's sure to tell me about it. Or if she hears of soemthing for sale, she tracks me down to let me know. The other day she found a 52 Chevy pickup that is going to be for sale and asked if we could buy it and restore it so she has a cool classic to drive. Is that cool or what??? She would also love to have a 72 Short stepside, but they aren't easy to find in these parts.

Cool

Talked with the guy today and going to look at it tommorrow. less than 50,000 orignal miles on it with paper work. 6 cycl. with three on the colunm. Has factory gauges and has never been cut on are anything the guy says. blue and white, its a fleet side instead of step. He put a radio in and still has the delet plate. Says he just installed new clutch/pressure plate, throw out bearing and has less than a yr. on tires. The way he talked it sounds good. I'll keep everyone posted on it.
