Re: New! Choppin' Block Suspension to Lay Frame

Wow, looks great thanks for the post. You should start a build thread. Looks like you have top notch taste. Keep us onlookers informed. Just a couple ?? What size rear tire in the pics, looks like a ton of inward room. Are you doing body drop too?

Thanks! The rear tires are 405/25/24 on a 24x15 wheel. The axle is getting narrowed right now taking 8" off each side while the frame and suspension are at powder coat. Yes, that is with their body drop also, you can see the new frame horns bolted on up front.

[QUOTE=Jcoleman7827;7642718]I've been installing the kit on my 72 over the last couple weeks. Overall I would definitely recommend the kit, it went on pretty easy and I would only buy it from AZPro due to all of their help.

The cons I would say are there are no formal directions but AZProPerformance has their own version that helps a lot, however it's not detailed like the PB ones I've seen.

Also, I didn't get it as quick as I had hoped and when I did get it the frame stiffener was the wrong one and it took 2 more weeks to get the correct one. I believe even after that it was still faster than getting a PB kit.

Thanks for posting Josh and glad oneshotkyle was able to get some good feedback from a customer. Frame looks great!

There will eventually be a complete install video, but is taking longer than expected, since they have been overwhelmed with getting the kits out the door. We are here to answer any questions you have though and walk you through the process.

Have a great 4th everyone!

On the front kit. Do we know any specifics on oil pan needed for ls engine or headers that will work?.

Re: New! Choppin' Block Suspension to Lay Frame

You will want to go with the F-body pan. As for headers, anything that is close fitting, like the Hooker manifold style, etc. Others will work, but this is one example.

Re: New! Choppin' Block Suspension to Lay Frame

I have most of the kit all together now and it went very smooth. I can't say enough good about Travis from azproperformance for answering all my questions as this was my first time taking on a project this big. The fuel cell and air tank are still at powder but they will be red as well.

We have these kits in stock, with more on their way. Also, the 73-87 kits are now all available as well!

Re: New! Choppin' Block Suspension to Lay Frame

Any Idea if I could use this rear kit in a suburban?

It won't work in a suburban because the back half length for a short bed (and body mounts) won't be correct for what is needed on a suburban.

Re: New! Choppin' Block Suspension to Lay Frame

They have it on their list to complete, but may be a little while until it is done and ready to ship. When they do, we will make sure to post it up here.
