J/K/M, a dodge 1000 and the 8v71

So, I was just recently cruising through and old pice of property soon to be a functioning junkyard and came across a Cabover Dodge 1000, appears to have some sort of a Road Ranger and an 8v71. I want it... but I want the Transmission for one of my 7500's ...and then I thought why not the engine too .... am I correct in thinking that only the raised cab ( M/H) series will fit the Big Detroit ?

The C/M 'long nose' conventionals came with the 8V-71. From 1971 on, there were raised cab versions of the short nose H/J 9500 conventionals that also came with the 8V-71, but those models were significantly different than the regular H/J's. The raised cab versions were the HH and JH 9500's.
