Cleco Storage and Uses

Here is my Storage plate for my Cleco's.

I was introduced to these by my Grandpa years ago.
There are many uses for these.
There are several different types.
Who uses these and how do you use them?

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

This was how my Grandpa stored them.
I made this in honor of him.
I wish would have inherited more of his Organizing skills.
My first habit of storage is a bucket.

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

I have Clecos and don't use them enough. My storage, a cardboard box, that is a sweet idea.

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

I keep mine in a tupperware tray. I wonder if storing them like this would cause the springs to weaken over time and not hold as tight?

Hey Richard
I thought about that ,before I drilled 200 holes.
My Grand-Pa kept his like this.
They still work good. But the ones I just bought are not near the Quality of the ones he had.
I got them for about $0.50 a piece so if I can find them when I need them was my Motive to do this .

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

I much prefer the draw clecos with the wing nut, higher clamping pressure.

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

I have some of those also.
They get the Kitten glove treatment .
They was my Grand-Pa's.
I will probably purchase some extra of those to use and abuse.
I have been looking for a Zebra fixing clamp set
like you have.
I seen them when you posted you tool box thread.
They are pretty cool.

Re: Cleco Storage and Uses

With a little trickery you can get clecos to clamp a butt weld.
