Re: Is this forum dead or what???

Not here,it isn`t.I`d rather spend what money a`99 or newer truck costs on an older truck. There`s not as much to talk about with newer trucks like there are with older ones. Not many are hobby vehicles, just daily drivers. My newest truck is a`92.I bought it new and it was about as expensive as you could get back then. But,I never go to the 88-98 board because I don`t have anything to say about it.I just drive it.
Like Liz said,if you want more action, make it happen.

Re: Is this forum dead or what???

Look at you,Mr.one foot in the`67 door and the other in a`00. I like`em all. But,the older the better. This started as a classic truck site before this design truck existed.I think it`s pretty cool how it`s opened up to the later models and now all the way up to current models.

I must confess I own a 99 and have posted pics of it from time to time but don't stop in here very often. I'll try to better.

Re: Is this forum dead or what???

^That`s part of it.And,who`s swapping drivetrains, restoring, installing interior, moving gas tanks, swapping front end assemblies, figuring what to do about a rust spot in the roof, converting from long to shortbed, trying to fit a modern stereo when the cab wasn`t made for one?...and on like that.
Like I said,I don`t even own one from these years. What am I doing here?!!!

I had a 2001 Tahoe for a few years. I liked it. If it weren't a lease I probably would have done more to it.

Re: Is this forum dead or what???

I too would love to see more action here . However I don't see myself checking out those other sites.
I love my 08 but it is kinda boring as of now. Its my DD so I can't really mess with it.
I was much more excited about the rusty 70 C-10 I use to have .
I'd like to change wheels and tires on the 08 but with less than 10K why would I swap now ?
Still on the fence about lowering it.

Re: Is this forum dead or what???

Agree. MY 02's main mission is to move me. I just did a cheap wheel/tire upgrade, but that was because I needed some new tires. I want to do a few more things, but right now the exhaust, tires/wheels and stereo are the customization limits on mine. Lowering won't happen because of where I drive, so unless EdB and a few of my friends come out of the sticks , I'll be in the nose bleed section.
