Absolutely, imagination and talent. I'm a huge Neil young and Dylan fan and prine sorta falls into there ,but my mood determines what I'm listening at the moment. i guess i am still a old school rock kinda guy. i grew up inthe 70's and eightys.
my music kinda died out after 1989 or so, you guys seem to like the same kinda stuff as me . so i'll just throw out the 1 newer one thats so close to my heart. it got me through the treatment for the big c. another c patient got me listening to it and i guess it kinda stuck. i am a fighter and with the help of god and a good woman , i am still above ground and above room temp. lol i digress here's the song. i hope you like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8_Y_1psB6g

Music is mankind's greatest achievement, IMO. I'm more or less well-rounded, grew-up influenced by my father, who led orchestras and composed.
It's easier to say what I don't like, which includes most head-banging, rap, pop-country, and most newer mainstream. My favorite artists are Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin & Gordon Lightfoot........What I listen to depends. Generally stuff I can drum to, but if I'm working, I like a lot of 60s-70s. I have quite a collection, everything hand-picked, about 3K tunes. One of my playlists is for my "favorites of favorites". Here are a few off that list.
